....I just bought two tickets to a Europe concert. That's right -- Europe. "The Final Countdown." "Carrie." Big-haired Swedes. Leather pants. Lasers. Europe.
See, it seems my roommate was a big fan of the 1989 & 1990 Detroit Pistons ("The Bad Boys"), and they used "The Final Countdown" as their theme song. Well, Europe is coming to Chicago -- that just doesn't sound right, does it? -- on April 26th, which just happens to be two days before my roommate's 30th birthday. So, being the great friend that I am, I bought him Europe tickets.
So, if you happen to be at the Europe show at the House of Blues on April 26th (and, really, why wouldn't you be?), and you hear two guys in the back saying things like, "AND the Man in the middle, standing 6-feet, 11-inches tall, from the University of Notre Dame...Bill Laim-BEER!!!"....that'll be us.
On the bright side, at least now I'll have somewhere to wear my "Cut Your Mullet!" T-shirt....
